Recently, the Implementation and Management Office of the National Key Science and Technology Major Project “Manufacturing Equipment and Complete Process Technologies for Ultra-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits” (Project 02) organized an expert panel at Zhonghuan Shares to conduct the acceptance review of the project titled “Industrialization Technology for Zone-Melting Silicon Single Crystals and Development of Domestically Produced Equipment.” The experts participating in the project acceptance review posed for a group photo with representatives from the undertaking unit. The expert panel for this acceptance meeting was composed of members from the Advisory Committee of the National Key Science and Technology Major Project, senior technical experts from the industry, intellectual property specialists, and financial experts. During the acceptance meeting, the experts listened to the completion report submitted by Tianjin Huan’ou Semiconductor Materials Technology Co., Ltd., as well as the acceptance test report prepared by the on-site testing team, and reviewed the acceptance documents.

On May 6, 2017, the Implementation and Management Office of the National Key Science and Technology Major Project “Manufacturing Equipment and Complete Process Technologies for Ultra-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits” (Project No. 02) convened a formal acceptance meeting in Ningbo. The project “Research and Industrialization of 8-inch Silicon Wafers and Key Technologies for 12-inch Silicon Wafers,” led by Zhejiang Jinruihong Technology Co., Ltd. (Project No. 2010ZX02301), successfully passed the acceptance review. The National Key Science and Technology Major Projects are major strategic initiatives aimed at achieving national goals through breakthroughs in core technologies and integration of resources, with the objective of completing significant strategic products, critical common technologies, and major engineering projects within a specified time frame.
On May 8, 2017, the Implementation and Management Office and the Overall Group of the National Key Science and Technology Major Project “Manufacturing Equipment and Complete Process Technologies for Ultra-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits” (hereinafter referred to as the “02 Major Project”) organized a task expert panel and a financial expert panel to conduct the formal acceptance of the project “Technology Development and Industrialization Capacity Enhancement for 200mm Silicon Wafers,” undertaken by Youyan Semiconductor. Leading officials from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and the Chief Technical Advisor of the 02 Major Project’s Overall Group attended the meeting. On the 11th, SUMCO, Japan’s leading silicon wafer manufacturer, announced its financial results for the previous quarter (January-March 2017) after the close of the Tokyo stock market: Consolidated revenue surged 16.3% year-on-year to 6.195 billion yen; consolidated operating profit soared by 123.3% to 8.067 billion yen; and consolidated net profit also jumped by 129.3% to 3.613 billion yen. SUMCO noted that, unlike in previous years, the last quarter did not show the usual seasonal adjustment—demand remained strong even during what would normally be a slow season. The Secretariat of the Materials and Components Alliance organized its member units to collectively participate in SEMICON China 2017, held from March 14 to 16, 2017, in Shanghai. The “Industrial Expansion and Upgrade Project for CMP Polishing Materials for Integrated Circuits” was established with investment from Anji Microelectronics Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. It has received approval from the Environmental Protection and Urban Appearance & Sanitation Administration of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, in the form of “Approval Opinion on the Environmental Impact Report Form for the Industrial Expansion and Upgrade Project of CMP Polishing Materials for Integrated Circuits” (Hu Pu Huan Bao Xu Ping [2014] No. 28). The project went into operation in May 2014. In accordance with national and municipal laws and regulations, we are now releasing information to the public prior to the completion and acceptance inspection.
