The Secretariat of the Materials and Components Alliance organized its member units to collectively participate in SEMICON China 2017, held from March 14 to 16, 2017 in Shanghai. In collaboration with SEMI, the Alliance set up a “Materials Alliance Special Zone” in Hall W5, the main exhibition area for integrated circuits. This year’s participating companies include Juhua Group, Anji Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xinyang Semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd., Beijing Kehua Microelectronics Materials Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xin'ao Technology Co., Ltd., Foshan Huat Gas Co., Ltd., Nanjing Guosheng Electronics Co., Ltd., Hubei Xingfu Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., Suzhou Jingrui Chemical Co., Ltd., Jiangyin Runma Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Carbeni Precision Ceramics Co., Ltd., among others.

During the exhibition, Secretary-General Shi Ying accompanied Qiu Gang, Deputy Inspector of the Major Special Projects Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Deputy Director of the Implementation and Management Office for Project 02, along with other relevant leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology, on a visit to the Alliance’s booth.

During the exhibition, Secretary-General Shi Ying invited experts from the procurement departments of the semiconductor division of South Korea’s Samsung Electronics and the procurement department of Lianxin Integrated Circuit Manufacturing (Xiamen) Co., Ltd.—who are responsible for materials procurement and supplier management—to visit the member units in the alliance’s special zone. They engaged in in-depth exchanges on these companies’ material products, technological levels, production capacities, customer services, quality assurance measures, and aspirations for market development. Both companies expressed their willingness to collaborate with local materials suppliers to build a localized supply chain essential for the development of the integrated circuit industry, thereby achieving win-win cooperation, mutual development, and stronger growth.

For four consecutive years, the Materials and Components Alliance has set up a “Materials Alliance Zone” during SEMICON China. This approach not only facilitates mutual exchanges among member companies but also enables customers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of domestic materials enterprises, highlighting the overall strengths of China’s integrated circuit industry and earning wide recognition from alliance members. During SEMICON China 2018, the Materials and Components Alliance will continue to establish the “Materials Alliance Zone.”
