Pan Junyou graduated from the Department of Materials Science at Zhejiang University and earned a master’s degree from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then went on to pursue a doctoral degree in the Department of Physics at the University of Bayreuth in Germany, receiving his PhD in 2000. Afterward, he joined a subsidiary of SIEMENS, where he served as the Product Design Manager in the Surface Acoustic Wave Devices Division. In 2003, he joined Merck Group (the world’s No.1 manufacturer of liquid crystal materials), taking on the role of Laboratory Director at the Materials Research Center. For over ten years, he has been engaged in OLED research, leading and participating in several German national projects, including NEMO. He has published 11 academic papers in internationally renowned journals and has filed more than 60 patent applications, with over 300 patents granted. In 2014, he joined TCL Group, serving as the Deputy Chief Engineer at TCL Research & Development Institute.
