Product Description

Weisheng Zhao received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Paris-Sud, France, in 2007. From 2004 to 2007, he investigated spintronic device-based non-volatile logic circuits in cooperation with STMicroelectronics. After a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) focusing on nano-device-based neuromorphic computing, he joined the CNRS as a tenured research scientist and led the spintronics integration group until 2013. Since 2014, he has been serving as a distinguished professor at Beihang University in Beijing, China, and leads the Fert Beijing Research Institute. His research interests include the hybrid integration of nano-devices with CMOS circuits and novel non-volatile memory technologies such as STT-MRAM and Racetrack Memory. Weisheng has authored or co-authored more than 150 scientific papers (e.g., Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, IEEE Transactions, etc.) and holds 34 patents. He is a senior member of IEEE and an associate editor for leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology and Electronics Letters, among others.
