Director and Professor of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Thin Film and Microfabrication Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From August 1978 to July 1982, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Semiconductor Physics from Lanzhou University; from 1983 to 1986, he obtained a master’s degree in Semiconductor Physics from Lanzhou University. From 1986 to 1991, he interned and taught courses on semiconductor integrated circuits at Tianguang Integrated Circuit Factory and Yonghong Integrated Circuit Factory, participating in the development of the first digital camera chip. From 1991 to 1994, he pursued a doctoral degree in Condensed Matter Physics at Lanzhou University. From 1996 to 2001, he conducted research on advanced thin-film electronic materials at the Institute of Inorganic Materials, Science and Technology Agency of Japan. Since 2001, he has been a professor in the Department of Micro- and Nanoelectronics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, an Academician of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Materials, and Director of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Thin Film and Microfabrication Technology. His professional publications include: (1) “Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Manufacturing Technology,” published by Higher Education Press in June 2006, ISBN 7-04-018299-8, 470,000 characters; this book is considered the first Chinese-language monograph in China on IC manufacturing technology. (2) Multi-layer Integrated Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator, Springer-Verlag, ISBN 9783642317767, DOI 10.1007/9783642-317767, published in November 2012; according to Springer’s report, the eBook version of this work was downloaded online 1,175 times in 2013, making it a foundational English-language monograph in the field of innovative international devices. (3) Principles, Design, and Applications of Thin-Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators, published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press in June 2010, ISBN 978-7-313-06516-2—the first Chinese-language monograph on the scientific and technological fundamentals of thin-film bulk acoustic resonators. (5) “Diamond Crystals, Growth of,” Encyclopedia of Materials: Science and Technology, Elsevier Science, Chapter 6.5.20, 2113–2118 (2004); this chapter was recommended by international researchers in semiconductor diamond studies for inclusion in the comprehensive encyclopedia of materials.
