Professor at Tsinghua University and doctoral supervisor, a national leading talent in scientific and technological innovation, recipient of the National Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists, leader of an innovative team in a key area under the National Innovation Talent Promotion Program, and an outstanding national science and technology worker, he enjoys a special government allowance from the State Council. For many years, he has been engaged in research in the field of new materials, focusing on technologies for controlling the structure and properties of information-functional materials, surface acoustic wave materials and devices, and resistive-switching storage materials and devices. Leading his team, he has conducted comprehensive research across the entire innovation chain—from fundamental and cutting-edge studies and core key technologies to application demonstrations—in the area of surface acoustic wave materials and devices, achieving the engineering-scale fabrication of filters. He has received five national-level awards and ten provincial- and ministerial-level awards for scientific research achievements, including the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2007, the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2012, and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018. He has also been honored with the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award and the China Vacuum Science and Technology Achievement Award. He has published over 400 SCI papers, authored two monographs and one textbook, and been granted more than 40 national invention patents and two international patents.
