Male, PhD, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials, Director of the Institute of Semiconductor Materials at Zhejiang University, Distinguished Professor under the Ministry of Education’s Changjiang Scholars Program, recipient of the National Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists, Chief Scientist of the “National Key Basic Research Development Program Special Project” (973) sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Member of the Overall Expert Group for Major National Science and Technology Projects, and Leader of the Innovative Team under the Ministry of Education’s “Information Functional Materials” and “Changjiang Scholars and Innovation Team Development Program.” Has long been engaged in research on semiconductor silicon materials, optoelectronic materials, silicon-based optoelectronic materials, and nanoscale semiconductor materials. Achieved significant breakthroughs in fundamental research on crystal growth of silicon crystals and defect engineering—particularly in the development of micro-nitrogen-doped Czochralski-grown silicon single crystals, for which China holds intellectual property rights. Received two Second Prizes of the National Natural Science Award, three First Prizes of the Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Award, two Second Prizes and two Third Prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels. Has published over 500 SCI-indexed papers in international academic journals such as Advanced Materials, and holds more than 90 national invention patents.
