On June 13, 2018, the Seminar on the Batch Application Technology of Electronic Gas sponsored by the Integrated Circuit Materials & Components Industry Technology Innovative Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “Alliance”) was successfully held in Beijing.
This seminar aimed at facilitating cooperation between the supply and demand parties and promoting the coordination at the application side. Shi Ying, Secretary General of the Alliance presided over the meeting and made an analysis report on the current situation of the electronic gas industry. Through detailed data, the composition of employees, the R&D and industrial development investment, the number of patents, the production capacity, and the sales revenue in the electronic gas industry, and the analysis of the batch application of electronic gas in the FAB plant, and pointed out that the current homogenization of electronic gas products should attract the attention of the industry.

Zhang Xin, Chairman of the Alliance and General Manager of SMIC North, pointed out at the meeting that SMIC is the first 12-inch base in China. Since the localization of materials in 2011, SMIC has the responsibility and obligation to start the localization of materials and help domestic material manufacturers open the situation. For the development of the integrated circuit industry, it is necessary to rely on the strong integration of the domestic industrial chain. The upstream and downstream enterprises should be closely united around the platform built by the Alliance, users and manufacturers to grasp the opportunity of localization of materials and efficiently complete the systematic construction of domestic materials, so that the responsibilities entrusted to us by the times can be undertook. He also stressed that the current localization of materials is at a critical stage of tackling the problem. How to improve the low-cost promotion and create a better platform for domestic material manufacturers comprehensively is one of the challenging tasks of the Alliance in the next step.
