Product Description
An academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Beijing University of Science and Technology, he has long been engaged in research, development, engineering implementation, and application of new materials as well as novel technologies and processes for material preparation and processing. His primary research areas include controlled solidification and controlled forming of advanced metallic materials, intelligent design and preparation/processing technologies for materials, and key technologies in materials genome engineering. He has achieved a series of significant research results in fields such as copper alloy materials for energy and electronic information applications, special steels for high-end manufacturing, novel high-temperature alloys, and aluminum alloy materials for aerospace and modern transportation. He has received three Second Prizes for National Technological Invention and National Science and Technology Progress Awards, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize for Science and Technology Progress, more than ten provincial and ministerial-level science and technology achievement awards, and two international academic awards. He has published over 400 academic papers, authored five monographs, and been granted more than 120 invention patents. His innovations—including copper-aluminum composite materials, high-strength and high-conductivity copper alloy materials, high-performance aluminum alloy materials, and new short-process technologies for material preparation and processing—have been transferred to over 20 enterprises for practical application. He has led the formulation of one ASTM standard for copper-aluminum composite materials in the United States and two national standards for copper-aluminum composite materials. He has also received one First Prize for National Teaching Achievements and four provincial and ministerial-level teaching achievement awards.
