Wang Lianjun is a Doctor of Engineering, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He serves as a director on the Board of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Materials Research Society and is a recipient of the Shanghai Science and Technology Rising Star Program, the Shanghai “Aurora” Scholar Award, and the Ministry of Education’s New Century Outstanding Talent Support Program. As project leader, he has successively presided over and completed four National Natural Science Foundation projects, three Shanghai municipal projects, one Ministry of Education research project, and more than ten collaborative projects with DuPont. He has published over 80 research papers, including one invited review article (Inter. J. Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, 2013, 39: 103–112), and has contributed to several chapters in two English-language academic monographs. He has filed 15 Chinese invention patent applications, eight of which have been granted, one of which has already been successfully transferred through technology licensing.
