Runjing Technology Acquires Two Chinese Factories of Sumitomo Chemical’s Electronic Chemicals Business.
Zhenjiang Runjing High-Purity Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Runjing Technology”) and Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sumitomo Chemical”) have reached an agreement on the wholly-owned acquisition of two subsidiaries under the Group—Sumitomo Chemical Electronic Materials Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hefei Sumitomo Chemical”) and Sumitomo Chemical Electronic Materials Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Chongqing Sumitomo Chemical”). The parties have already completed the signing of the equity transfer agreement. Upon fulfillment of the relevant conditions stipulated in the equity transfer agreement, Hefei Sumitomo Chemical and Chongqing Sumitomo Chemical will become wholly-owned subsidiaries of Runjing Technology.

Through this acquisition, Runjing Technology will inherit the technological strengths and business systems of the Sumitomo Chemical Group, enabling it to rapidly expand its product portfolio—including etching solutions, stripping solutions, and CF developers—and provide customers with comprehensive, multi-product supply solutions. This will enhance Runjing Technology’s competitiveness in China’s wet electronic chemicals market. Meanwhile, the regional presence in Chongqing and Hefei will allow for swift responses to local customers.
Runjing Technology was founded in 2008 and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Haikou Group in 2017. Through the integration and empowerment of resources from its parent company, Runjing Technology has achieved rapid business growth. As a globally leading manufacturer of developer solutions (TMAH), Runjing Technology supplies major global panel manufacturers including Samsung, LG, BOE, HKC, CSOT, and Tianma. In 2020, Runjing Technology established Hefei Xinko Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xinko E-Material”) in Hefei. Leveraging advanced wet electronic chemical production technologies, Xinko E-Material is developing semiconductor-grade products such as high-purity hydrogen peroxide, ammonia solution, and isopropyl alcohol. Currently, these products have begun to be introduced into some of the world’s leading 12-inch wafer fabs.
Sumitomo Chemical was founded in 1913 and has been deeply rooted in the industry for many years, possessing its own unique quality-control system and customer-technical-service capabilities. Since 2009, Sumitomo Chemical has been engaged in the business of process chemicals for flat-panel displays in China. With 15 years of dedicated industry experience, the company has established strong relationships with local customers and achieved steady growth in performance. Hefei Sumichem and Chongqing Sumichem are both equipped with high-quality R&D and quality-control capabilities, focusing on providing downstream customers with stable-quality etching solutions, developing solutions, and stripping solutions.
This acquisition of two companies under Sumitomo Chemical by Runjing Technology will set a benchmark for strong alliances and complementary advantages. In the future, it will enable Runjing Technology, Hefei Sumitomo Chemical, Chongqing Sumitomo Chemical, and Xinkeda Materials to join forces closely along the wet electronic chemicals value chain, offering an even more comprehensive product portfolio, higher-quality services, and more holistic solutions—thus staying closer to customers, meeting their needs, and helping them succeed. This will inject a continuous source of momentum into the high-quality development of China’s display panel and semiconductor industries.
