Hexagonal Semiconductor, an innovator in semiconductor coating materials, has completed a financing round of nearly 100 million yuan and will simultaneously accelerate its expansion in terms of market, technology, and production capacity.
Zhejiang Liufang Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. recently completed a B1 round of financing worth nearly 100 million yuan, following the strategic investment it received at the end of last year from Liangwei (605358), Jiangfeng Electronics (300666), and related parties.
This round of financing was led by Xuan Yuan Capital and Jinbang Capital, with participation from Bete Fund and Liyuan Venture Capital. The funds raised will be used to accelerate penetration into downstream markets, further enhance production capacity, and drive iteration in technology and processes.

Liufang Technology is a high-tech company specializing in the research and development of new materials for the semiconductor industry. The company focuses on the application of SiC coating technology in the semiconductor sector. Its main products include SiC-coated graphite trays and other types of components, as well as TaC-coated components. These products are currently widely used in epitaxial growth processes for chips such as LEDs, SiC, GaN, and monocrystalline silicon. The silicon carbide films produced by the company for LED chip epitaxy and silicon single-crystal substrates are cubic-phase silicon carbide, which shares the same crystal lattice structure as diamond. With a hardness second only to that of diamond, this material holds great potential for applications in the semiconductor electronics industry. Moreover, silicon carbide boasts a high thermal conductivity and exhibits excellent physicochemical properties, including high-temperature resistance—up to approximately 1600 degrees Celsius—and outstanding corrosion resistance.
New coating materials such as silicon carbide and tantalum carbide, when used in semiconductor equipment components and consumables, can significantly enhance downstream chip manufacturing processes and product quality in complex environments and advanced fabrication technologies, offering tremendous growth potential. Among these, SiC-coated graphite trays are critical consumables in the semiconductor industry chain and have long been monopolized by companies in Europe and the U.S., making this a “bottleneck” technology in China. Relying on its core competency in forward-looking R&D of semiconductor materials, Liufang Technology has developed tray products tailored to various application scenarios, thereby accelerating the localization and substitution of these products in the domestic market.
Currently, Liufang Technology has a total of 20 publicly disclosed patent applications, including 3 invention patents. The company’s patent layout is primarily focused on areas such as graphite substrates and silicon carbide coatings.
