The 2023 Membership Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting of the Integrated Circuit Materials Industry Technology Innovation Alliance was held in Beijing.


On March 23, 2023, the 2023 Membership General Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting of the Integrated Circuit Materials Industry Technology Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “Materials Alliance”) was held in Beijing. The meeting was attended by approximately 220 people, including the Chairperson, Vice Chairpersons, Executive Directors, Directors of the Materials Alliance, and representatives from various member units.

Secretary-General Shi Ying chaired the meeting and delivered the work report of the Third Council. Secretary-General Shi Ying summarized the Alliance’s work over the past few years in the following areas: supporting major national science and technology projects and the work of relevant government departments; promoting supply-demand cooperation and development within the integrated circuit materials industry chain; organizing industry forums and academic exchange activities; building capabilities in industrial research and information services; advancing group standardization and intellectual property efforts; promoting quality improvement initiatives; establishing and developing the Integrated Circuit Materials Award and the Alliance itself. Moving forward, the Materials Alliance will continue to drive technological innovation and large-scale development in the materials industries across various specialized sectors, increase the market share of locally produced materials, and thereby ensure the security of China’s integrated circuit manufacturing supply chain. Additionally, the Alliance will strengthen industrial technological innovation and product development for foundational and critical raw materials, providing high-quality primary and auxiliary materials for the integrated circuit materials industry and enhancing the resilience of the local materials supply chain.

Secretary-General Shi Ying chaired the meeting and delivered the work report of the 3rd Council.

The meeting elected the chairperson, vice-chairpersons, executive directors, and secretary-general of the 4th Council through an equal-number election. It also elected the chairperson and members of the 4th Supervisory Board. The meeting reviewed and adopted the list of experts on the 4th Council’s Advisory Committee and the Alliance Agreement (5th Amendment).

The poll watchers will supervise the electronic voting process and the tallying results of the election for the 4th Council.

The participating delegates actively spoke and discussed the key priorities for the work of the 4th Board of Directors. Everyone expressed appreciation for the Alliance’s years of efforts and its contributions to the industry, and they are filled with hope for the industry’s future development. The Secretariat will incorporate everyone’s suggestions and aspirations into its future work, thereby providing even better service to the industry.

Supervisor Wang Qingyu delivered the work report of the 3rd Supervisory Board to the Congress. The Supervisory Board meeting concluded that, under the leadership of the chairperson units and through the joint efforts of all member units, the alliance has been developing in a healthy and standardized manner, strictly adhering to the scope of business stipulated in the alliance’s articles of association.

Supervisor Wang Qingyu presented the work report of the 3rd Supervisory Board to the Congress.

The newly appointed Chairman Zhao Yuhang stated that, as the chairman of the Materials Alliance’s new term, he would like to offer three recommendations for the Alliance’s next phase of work: First, scientifically collect industry data to objectively reflect the industry’s development and current status; second, strengthen technical exchanges and cooperation across upstream and downstream sectors; and third, place greater emphasis on talent cultivation. Finally, the newly appointed chairman wished the Alliance every success in its future endeavors, under the leadership of Secretary-General Shi, and expressed his confidence that the Alliance will continue to make steady progress and reach new heights!
