Online Signing Ceremony for the Newly Built Factory in Lingang

On the morning of May 20, the Lingang New Area held a centralized signing ceremony for projects under the theme “Invest in the New Area, Lead New Development.” Thirty-seven key projects were signed in one go. Chen Jinshan, a member of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Lingang New Area, and Director of the Management Committee, attended the signing ceremony. This was the first major event held in the Lingang New Area since the city’s epidemic prevention and control measures have gradually transitioned to a more normalized state. Zhou Wenhua, General Manager of Shanghai Qianghua Industrial Co., Ltd., participated in this centralized project signing ceremony.

Due to current epidemic prevention and control requirements, this signing ceremony was held online. After the ceremony, General Manager Zhou Wenhua accepted an interview with a reporter from Shanghai Television. The reporter asked questions online about the scale of the company’s planned investment in Lingang, whether the investment in Lingang would focus on production or R&D, and what factors had attracted Qianghua Investment to Lingang. Mr. Zhou stated: “The company’s planned investment in Lingang totals 550 million yuan, primarily earmarked for building a new factory and subsequent product R&D. As early as 2019, our company began closely monitoring Lingang’s various policies—covering talent policies, industrial chain policies, and regional procurement policies—and several of our key clients have already established operations in Lingang. Under the current pandemic situation, the Lingang Administration Committee has been simultaneously focusing on both epidemic prevention and investment promotion, which has greatly boosted businesses’ confidence in setting up operations in Lingang.”
