On February 28, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office to promote the steady operation and quality upgrading of the industrial and information technology sectors, Tian Yulong, Chief Engineer and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated in response to media questions that the Ministry, together with relevant departments and local authorities, has been actively implementing the "Several Policies for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Integrated Circuit and Software Industries in the New Era." These policies have played an important role in the development of China's integrated circuit industry, particularly in stabilizing the integrated circuit industry chain and supply chain. Specifically, the Ministry has focused on the following three key areas of work:
First, in collaboration with relevant departments, we have published the “List of Tax-Exempt Imported Products for Integrated Circuit Enterprises (First Batch)” and announced the eligibility criteria for enterprises benefiting from these policies.
Second, encourage technological innovation.
Third, further foster a favorable environment for the development of the integrated circuit industry. Leverage the driving role of capital in the industry and guide and encourage social capital to invest in the integrated circuit sector.
It is reported that China boasts the world’s largest and fastest-growing integrated circuit market, offering vast market opportunities for global enterprises. At the same time, China is also a major producer and supplier of integrated circuits, consistently making significant contributions to the global integrated circuit industry.
