Jinhong Gas has successfully completed a pilot production run of electronic-grade tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) for integrated circuits.

On October 11, Jinhong Gas’s official WeChat account announced that the company’s headquarters had recently successfully completed a pilot production run of electronic-grade tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) for integrated circuits.

Jinhong Gas stated that it will soon launch large-scale production of TEOS for the market, making new contributions to replacing imported electronic materials for domestic integrated circuits with domestically produced alternatives and achieving independent controllability.

According to the introduction, electronic-grade TEOS is a high-end microelectronic chemical used in the preparation of epitaxial materials for integrated circuits. It is also an important precursor material in third-generation semiconductor materials and the emerging semiconductor industry. The production process places extremely high demands on controlling the content of metal ion impurities and other related factors.

Jinhong Gas has overcome numerous technical challenges in the purification of electronic-grade TEOS, including the difficulty of removing metal ion impurities, the challenge of detecting trace metals, and the susceptibility of equipment, pipelines, and packaging containers to contamination. As a result, Jinhong Gas has developed proprietary technologies for the purification, detection, filtration, and filling of electronic-grade TEOS, all of which are protected by independent intellectual property rights.
