Four lithography gas products from Huater Gas have been certified by Japan’s GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd.
On October 8, Waite Gas issued an announcement stating that its four photolithography gas products (Ar/Ne/Xe, Kr/Ne, F2/Kr/Ne, and F2/Ar/Ne) have all passed the qualified supplier certification by Japan’s GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd.

According to reports, GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd. of Japan was founded in 2000. It is a developer and manufacturer of excimer lasers for semiconductor lithography, excimer lasers for other applications, and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. The company is also a developer of next-generation lithographic light sources—specifically, extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources—and has achieved mass production of these sources. In recent years, GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd. of Japan has not only gained the near-exclusive favor of nearly all semiconductor manufacturers in the Asian market, including Japan, but its presence in the European and U.S. markets has also been growing rapidly.
In its announcement, Huater Gas stated that the certification granted by Japan’s GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd. for the company’s four photolithography gas products (Ar/Ne/Xe, Kr/Ne, F2/Kr/Ne, F2/Ar/Ne) represents recognition of the high quality of these products and the company’s robust production capabilities in the field of photolithography gases. This certification will help enhance the company’s reputation and visibility in the photolithography gas sector and will have a positive impact on the company’s sales of photolithography gases both domestically and internationally. Currently, the company is the only gas supplier in China to have simultaneously obtained certifications from both ASML of the Netherlands and GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd. of Japan.
However, the announcement also includes a risk warning: The certification letter recently obtained by the company from GIGAPHOTON Co., Ltd. of Japan, designating it as a qualified supplier, reflects the laser equipment manufacturer’s recognition of the company’s products. Given that laser equipment manufacturers themselves do not directly purchase lithography gases, sales of lithography gas products must be certified by downstream manufacturers and require a certain certification period. Therefore, this certification will not have any direct impact on the company’s sales of lithography gases.
