The Materials Alliance – Jita Semiconductor Domestic Materials Supply-Demand Matching Seminar Was Successfully Held.
To deepen mutual understanding between integrated circuit manufacturing companies and materials suppliers, foster the development of a collaborative industrial innovation ecosystem across the upstream and downstream sectors, enhance technological capabilities and product quality, and accelerate the localization and application of semiconductor materials, on June 3 in Shanghai, the Integrated Circuit Materials Industry Technology Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “Materials Alliance”) and Shanghai Jita Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jita Semiconductor”) jointly held the highly successful “Jita Semiconductor—Integrated Circuit Domestic Materials Supply-Demand Matchmaking Event.” The conference was chaired by Yang Yaodong, Deputy General Manager of Supply Chain Management at Jita Semiconductor.
This matchmaking event covered seven major material business segments, including silicon materials, photoresists, electronic gases, process chemicals, polishing materials, target materials, and consumables. It addressed the overall profile and development plans of Jita Semiconductor, the demand for materials driven by its business platforms and technological advancements, as well as quality management requirements for material suppliers. Additionally, the event shared successful experiences in precise collaboration between supply and demand sides and in the customized development of specialized materials, providing valuable opportunities for material companies to enter Jita Semiconductor’s supply chain.

General Manager of Jita Semiconductor Guo Qiang More than 50 colleagues, including Dr. Guo Qiang—along with representatives from the company’s procurement, quality management, technology R&D, and production facilities—as well as engineers, attended this meeting. Dr. Guo Qiang extended a warm welcome to all the material suppliers in attendance. He emphasized that Jita Semiconductor is firmly committed to the research and development of core technologies in the integrated circuit field, concentrating its superior resources on mastering specialized manufacturing processes, continuously improving its industrial manufacturing base, and actively building an industrial platform with international competitiveness. In his speech, he pointed out that developing the integrated circuit industry is a national strategic priority; however, the widespread shortage of materials today is severely hindering the healthy development of China’s domestic integrated circuit industry. Promoting the localization of raw materials and fully establishing secure supply channels for domestically produced materials have become urgent, critical, and strategic tasks for the nation. This matchmaking event represents a joint effort by Jita Semiconductor and the Materials Alliance to advance the application of domestically produced materials. Jita Semiconductor hopes to deepen mutual understanding and grow together with domestic supply chain enterprises, jointly building an integrated circuit supply chain system that is independently controllable, and together achieving the modernization of the supply chain, the high-end upgrading of the industrial chain, and the maximization of value chains.

Shi Ying, Secretary-General of the Materials Alliance, expressed her gratitude to Jita Semiconductor for its strong support and attention to this matchmaking event. She pointed out that Jita Semiconductor boasts production lines for specialty processes in both 6-inch and 8-inch wafers, as well as a 6-inch silicon carbide process line, and plans to build a 12-inch production line in the future. The company is dedicated to manufacturing automotive-grade chips and possesses deep technological expertise and broad growth prospects. She believes that through cooperation with Jita Semiconductor, materials companies will be able to further expand their business scope, elevate their operational standards, and achieve new heights in product quality management and technological capabilities. She also noted that, after nearly a decade of development, China’s integrated circuit materials industry has made remarkable progress. Several companies now have the capability to collaborate with manufacturers in developing customized materials, and a growing number of domestically produced materials have gradually become key players in China’s integrated circuit chip manufacturing. Through close collaboration with Jita Semiconductor, materials companies will undoubtedly contribute significantly to Jita Semiconductor’s business development and help ensure the supply chain of Jita Semiconductor remains secure, reliable, and stable.
Leaders from the Shanghai Lingang New Area Management Committee and Shanghai Lingang were also invited to attend this matchmaking and exchange meeting. During the subsequent reporting session, Liu Qixing, Deputy General Manager of Jita Semiconductor, first introduced the company’s profile to the representatives from material enterprises in attendance. He stated that Jita Semiconductor focuses primarily on core chips for the national industrial control and transportation electronics sectors. With a long history and strong technological capabilities, the company boasts a robust platform of specialized process technologies. Its product portfolio covers all three price segments—high-end, mid-range, and low-end—and can comprehensively promote the mass production and application of domestically produced materials.
Liu Jianhua, Deputy General Manager of Jita Semiconductor, delivered a report on the development of Jita Semiconductor’s process technologies. The report provided a detailed overview of Jita Semiconductor’s business model and technological advancements, the current status and plans for its key process technology platforms, the industry ecosystem formed through close collaboration across the upstream and downstream sectors, and the types of materials required in Jita Semiconductor’s manufacturing processes. This report offers precise guidance for material companies seeking opportunities for cooperation.
Jiang Qinghong, Senior Director of Quality and Reliability at Jita Semiconductor, presented a report on Jita Semiconductor’s quality control efforts related to the localization of raw materials. She provided detailed explanations from four perspectives: the supplier/material introduction process, supplier evaluation, management of production changes, and regular supplier assessments—enabling material suppliers to better understand how to become qualified suppliers for Jita Semiconductor.
Wang Yuchun, Deputy General Manager of Anji Microelectronics (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., shared on-site the experience gained from the collaborative development between Jita and Anji. He suggested that material enterprises need to adopt a multi-dimensional approach—considering both horizontal and vertical dimensions—and maintain continuous, in-depth communication with their customers. It’s crucial to promptly understand customers’ needs and concerns, set long-term goals for product positioning, identify the most appropriate and comprehensive solutions for customers, and proactively plan ahead to ensure sufficient support. Ultimately, this approach will lead to mutually beneficial industrial cooperation between suppliers and customers. This sharing of experience has provided valuable insights and lessons for other material enterprises.
Wang Lin, Deputy General Manager of the Lingang Industrial Zone Company, provided a detailed introduction to the industrial planning of the Lingang New Area, the current status of project attraction, future development goals, and policy support measures. He also welcomed material companies to establish themselves in Lingang and work together to build the country’s premier hub for chip manufacturing.

In the afternoon, the management team—including Liu Jianhua, Deputy General Manager of Jita Semiconductor; Yang Yaodong, Deputy General Manager; Jiang Qinghong, Senior Director; and Yin Buhua, Senior Director—as well as technical personnel from departments such as supply chain, process integration, and technology R&D, held in-depth one-on-one and group-based exchanges and interactions with representatives from alliance companies across various material sectors. The discussions focused on the current status of technological development at each materials company, their mass-production application scenarios, future R&D directions, and efforts to establish a closed-loop domestic materials supply chain. In particular, regarding product categories that have attracted significant attention, both sides engaged in lively and targeted discussions on performance parameter specifications, raw material compositions, cost breakdowns, and product customization options. They also agreed to establish corresponding communication and exchange mechanisms going forward, further strengthening cooperation between suppliers and buyers. Attendees unanimously emphasized that this matchmaking event played a crucial role in enhancing collaboration and communication between supply and demand sides.
