Youyan Yijin has been awarded the highest honor in China’s QC awards.

Recently, good news came from the annual conference of the China Association for Quality: Youyan Yijin, a subsidiary of Youyan New Materials, was jointly awarded the title of “2020 National Outstanding Quality Management Team” by the China Association for Quality, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the All-China Women’s Federation. The QC (Quality Control) team, “Targeting the Future—Quality First,” has been recognized for its outstanding achievements in quality management.

Youyan Yijin—Quality First: The “Target”-Oriented QC Team was established in May 2019. Relying on a research and development project for ultra-pure copper targets, this team is led by company executives and involves collaborative efforts from multiple departments including quality assurance, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing. It’s a key R&D project aimed at overcoming the industry’s critical “bottleneck” challenges.

Starting from market demand, the Yijin QC team of Youyan set specific technical project indicators as quality control targets. By assessing the company’s existing working conditions, they developed a feasible implementation plan for the project. After seven months of intense and well-organized work, the QC team consciously followed the group’s plan throughout the project’s progress, rigorously scheduled quality management tasks, and effectively controlled key milestones throughout the entire R&D process. By analyzing various factors affecting grain size targets, the team designed multiple experimental schemes at each stage, conducting comparative studies, research, scale-up trials, data analysis, and repeated refinement of countermeasures. Based on the 5W1H principle, they formulated a targeted, optimal implementation process. Ultimately, thanks to outstanding performance data from the client side, the project met all acceptance criteria, marking a successful breakthrough by Youyan Yijin Company in addressing the issues of microstructure and texture orientation in ultra-pure copper targets.

Through the successful development of the ultra-pure copper target project, members of the Youyan Yijin QC team have not only enhanced their individual capabilities but also deepened their mastery and application of QC knowledge, effectively improving product quality and customer satisfaction. The products developed under this project have reached the advanced international standards in terms of application performance, achieving breakthroughs in core technologies. While generating significant economic benefits, this achievement has also enabled Youyan Yijin to join the ranks of world-class high-purity metal sputtering target manufacturers and become one of China's leading high-tech enterprises that master vertically integrated technology—from high-purity copper raw materials all the way to finished products.
