Hao Hua Gas Co., Ltd. Officially Established; Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Special Fluorine-Containing Electronic Gas Project
On October 22, Haohua Gas Co., Ltd. of China National Chemical Corporation was officially unveiled and established in Luoyang, simultaneously marking the groundbreaking ceremony for a project that will annually produce 4,600 tons of specialty fluorine-containing electronic gases. This initiative represents a significant step taken by China National Chemical Corporation to leverage its resource advantages, expand and strengthen its electronic gas business, and accelerate the domestic substitution of specialty electronic gases. Ning Gaoning, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Chemical Corporation, as well as Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinochem Group, and Li Ya, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Municipal Party Secretary, jointly unveiled the plaque for Haohua Gas Co., Ltd. and laid the first sod for the newly built specialty electronic gas project.

Electronic specialty gases are hailed as the “blood” of the electronics industry and serve as crucial raw materials for information technology sectors such as semiconductors, microelectronics, and integrated circuits. The newly established Haohua Gases Co., Ltd., headquartered in Luoyang, is a specialized electronic gas company formed through the strategic integration by China National Chemical Corporation of the gas businesses from Luoyang Liming Institute, Dalian Guangming Institute, and Chengdu Southwest Institute—a powerful alliance of industry leaders. The newly formed enterprise will focus on the R&D and development of high-end electronic specialty gases by integrating gas business operations and constructing new projects, aiming to break through “bottleneck” technologies and build a large-scale industrial base, a fluorine-containing gas R&D center, and a marketing hub. It is committed to becoming a leading national player in the electronic gas sector and accelerating the development of China’s information electronics industry. Furthermore, the company will continuously expand its electronic chemicals business through independent R&D, joint R&D, and technology imports, broadening its product portfolio and gradually establishing itself as a world-class integrated provider of electronic chemicals.
The 4,600-ton-per-year specialty fluorine-containing electronic gas project of Haohua Gas Co., Ltd. is located in the Jili District Science and Technology Park, covering an area of 241 mu. The project is planned to receive an investment of 900 million yuan and is expected to take 18 months to complete. Utilizing proprietary, independently developed patented technology, the project will add annual production capacities of 3,000 tons of nitrogen trifluoride, 1,000 tons of carbon tetrafluoride, and 600 tons of tungsten hexafluoride. This project is of great significance in accelerating the localization of China’s corresponding electronic gases and reducing reliance on imports. China National Chemical Corporation and Sinochem Group are large-scale state-owned backbone enterprises. For a long time, China National Chemical Corporation has actively encouraged the Liming Chemical Research & Design Institute to deepen its engagement in the Heluo region, making outstanding contributions to Luoyang’s economic and social development. The unveiling of the new enterprise and the groundbreaking ceremony for the new project mark the beginning of a new journey toward deeper cooperation and mutual win-win outcomes between the two parties.
Before the ceremony, Ning Gaoning and Li Ya, accompanied by their delegation, visited the Special Chemicals Research and Production Base of the Liming Chemical Research and Design Institute and the nitrogen trifluoride production facility of Haohua Gas. They conducted a thorough investigation and gained detailed insights into the enterprises’ technological innovation, safe operations, and production and business performance. They encouraged the enterprises to focus on national strategies and market demands, integrate their technological strengths, continuously innovate and create, and strive to open up new horizons and usher in a fresh atmosphere.
