Duofluor's new meltblown fabric production line has been put into operation.
On April 25, within the company’s industrial park for hygiene and protective materials, flexible meltblown nozzles continuously spouted white fibers, which coalesced into pristine white fabrics. The first newly built production line of the company’s 4,000-ton-per-year meltblown fabric project has been successfully put into operation, bringing the target of producing 10 tons per day one step closer.
Masks are in short supply, protective suits are in short supply, and meltblown fabric is in short supply! News of shortages in various epidemic prevention supplies is rattling the nerves of many people at Duofu. Despite exhausting every effort to secure a stable supply of meltblown fabric, it’s precisely at these critical moments that Duofu employees must demonstrate their sense of responsibility and commitment. The chairman emphasized: “We must seize every minute, accelerate the pace, and ensure quality—doing our utmost to push forward the construction of the meltblown fabric project.” A high-stakes race against time is unfolding at the Duofu Sanitary Protection Materials Industrial Park.

At the end of March, the company decided to invest in the construction of four new automated production lines—building on its existing plant and two original production lines—to boost its meltblown fabric capacity and meet market demand. To ensure rapid commissioning, the installation and startup of the first newly built meltblown fabric production line were swiftly launched in early April under the direction of General Manager Li Yunfeng. Li Juan, Deputy General Manager of Duofluoride New Energy, served as the chief person in charge of the production line and led her team to promptly carry out the installation and commissioning work. All relevant departments provided close cooperation, offering strong support for the efficient advancement of the project.

Although the production of meltblown fabric may seem simple, it is actually fraught with numerous challenges. During the outbreak of the pandemic, key production equipment was difficult to procure. Deputy General Manager Xue Xujin personally went to the manufacturers to communicate and expedite the progress of the equipment. The company dispatched a team to the site to learn installation experience. Li Juan and Yang Haoliang, as heads of the production line, took the lead on the front lines, guiding the construction crews to work overtime around the clock, relentlessly pushing forward the project’s development.
At a critical moment just before the production line was set to be completed, one of the key components—the spinneret—suddenly encountered an unexpected issue and could not be delivered on time. This meant that even if all other equipment had been installed, the line still couldn't start production as scheduled. What should we do? Waiting certainly wasn't an option. The project team immediately dispatched personnel to the manufacturer to assess the situation while simultaneously activating the emergency response plan to find a new supplier for the equipment. On April 24, the long-awaited spinneret finally arrived. The construction crew worked through the night to install and test it, and the next day, they successfully started feeding materials into the line for production. The first batch of products, after rigorous testing, met the standards required for medical surgical masks. In terms of key technical indicators—such as filtration efficiency and breathability—these products reached industry-leading levels.

From issuing the announcement to procuring equipment, selecting and installing the site, and starting trial production with feed-in, the early completion of production not only demonstrates Duofudo’s courage and sense of responsibility in taking on tough challenges and achieving victory, but also embodies the spirit of the chairman—the “Most Beautiful Veteran in China”—at Duofudo.
Meltblown fabric represents an important step in the company’s exploration of the hygiene and protective materials sector, and it could become a new growth driver for the company in the future. With production starting just 25 days after project initiation and achieving compliance on the first attempt, Duofluoride has demonstrated the “Leishenshan” speed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction and commissioning of additional production lines. This will also play a positive role in boosting the development of the hygiene and protective materials industry in Henan Province and ensuring the nationwide supply of epidemic prevention materials.
