The conference facilitated a matchmaking and exchange session on the supply and demand for mass production applications of domestically produced materials. Participants heard from Dr. Kang Jing, Director of the SMIC Joint Laboratory, who provided an overview of SMIC’s ongoing verification efforts for domestic materials as well as a report on current needs. This mechanism involves personnel from various departments, including process R&D, evaluation and certification, production operations, and material procurement. As a result, the actual volume of domestically produced materials procured in bulk has been increasing year by year.
