2013 Year 8 Moon 9 Day, Integrated Circuit Materials Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (abbreviated as Alliance The Materials Enterprises and SMIC International Joint Conference on Promoting the Mass Application of Domestic Materials—SMIC International Demand Matching Meeting—was successfully held in Shanghai. Academician Wang Xi, Chairman of the Materials Alliance, attended the meeting. Dr. Qiu Ciyun, CEO of SMIC International, accompanied by SMIC International’s team from Shanghai, also participated. 8 Inch factory and 8 Factory, Beijing Factory, Tianjin 7 Leaders responsible for material verification and application evaluation from the four major plant sites, along with over 100 representatives from alliance member units across the country—covering technical, quality, and marketing sales aspects—attended the meeting.

The conference facilitated a matchmaking and exchange session on the supply and demand for mass production applications of domestically produced materials. Participants heard from Dr. Kang Jing, Director of the SMIC Joint Laboratory, who provided an overview of SMIC’s ongoing verification efforts for domestic materials as well as a report on current needs. In breakout sessions, participants discussed issues encountered during the verification process of domestic materials, potential solutions, and recommendations for the alliance and the nation. 02 Recommendations from the Special Office: Jiangfeng Electronics, Anji Microelectronics, China Shipbuilding 718 Shanghai Xinyang, Youyan Silicon Shares, Youyan Yijin, Beijing Kehua, Hebei University of Technology, and others 8 The unit reported on the development and application verification of related materials technology; SMIC was commended. 7 An outstanding team in the evaluation of domestically produced materials.

Currently, the total number of materials that have been verified and are undergoing verification is: 40 Among them, several products from Anji Microelectronics are already available. CMP Polishing liquid, a variety of sputtering targets from Jiangfeng Electronics, and China Shipbuilding. 718 The two electronic gases and the plating solution from Xinyang Semiconductor, among others. 18 Bulk procurement of the material is available; additionally, there is... 5 The materials are also expected to be procured in bulk within the year.

SMIC from 2011 Starting this year, we have vigorously promoted the development of local suppliers. Internally, the company has established an operational management mechanism aimed at accelerating the mass production and application of domestically produced materials as well as facilitating their bulk procurement. This mechanism involves personnel from various departments, including process R&D, evaluation and certification, production operations, and material procurement. As a result, the actual volume of domestically produced materials procured in bulk has been increasing year by year. Dr. Qiu Ciyun, CEO of SMIC, stated: As a world-class wafer fabrication company, SMIC has always held domestic materials suppliers to international standards. We will never— Made in China And let’s lower the standards. I hope that domestic material suppliers will continue to enhance their product quality and strive to provide SMIC with more high-quality, cost-effective products. SMIC will, as always, support domestic material companies and procure materials that have been duly verified. Let’s join forces and work together toward achieving a win-win situation for both manufacturing enterprises and material suppliers.

Secretary-General Shi Ying of the Materials Alliance chaired the meeting. Also in attendance was Dr. Wu Hanming, Vice President of SMIC, among others.
