On August 15, the opening ceremony for Jiangfeng Electronics’ first overseas factory—Jiangfeng Electronics Materials (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangfeng Malaysia”)—a facility specializing in sputtering targets made of aluminum, copper, and tungsten alloy for crystalline silicon solar cells, was solemnly held at the premises of SunPower Malaysia (abbreviated as SPMY), a globally leading manufacturer of solar panel modules. Dr. Yao Lijun, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Jiangfeng Electronics, Dr. Jie Pan, General Manager, Mr. Pek Sek Khai, General Manager of Jiangfeng Malaysia, and Mr. Wouter Ooghe, General Manager of SPMY, along with numerous senior executives from both companies, attended the opening ceremony, delivered speeches, and cut the ribbon. During the event, Mr. Wouter Ooghe, General Manager of SPMY, and other senior SPMY executives toured the Jiangfeng Malaysia plant and expressed their high appreciation for Jiangfeng Electronics’ long-standing commitment to product quality and service.

SunPower is a key customer of Jiangfeng Electronics’ solar-target material products. After nearly a decade of dedicated collaboration, KFMI has become one of SunPower’s primary suppliers of target materials. The Jiangfeng project in Malaysia aims to provide customers with more specialized, timely, and efficient technical support and services closer to their locations, thereby laying a solid foundation and building strong pillars for Jiangfeng Electronics’ participation in the global market competition. The opening of this first overseas factory not only marks the beginning of a new stage of close cooperation between Jiangfeng Electronics and SunPower, but also signifies a milestone breakthrough in Jiangfeng Electronics’ overseas strategic deployment, enabling it to firmly seize the new opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative.

As a national-level, top-tier strategy, the Belt and Road Initiative adheres to the principles of "joint consultation, shared benefits, and joint construction" and is today hailed as a "golden opportunity for deepened cooperation." According to the strategic direction, on land it relies on major international corridors, while at sea it leverages key ports as pivotal nodes. Malaysia, situated at the Strait of Malacca, is precisely one of the countries targeted by the Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, Malaysia has vigorously developed its semiconductor manufacturing and solar photovoltaic industries, positioning itself to capture an even larger share of the global solar energy production market. By strategically positioning Jiangfeng Electronics in Malaysia, we can closely connect with and integrate more effectively with our clients, thereby promoting efficient resource allocation, tapping deeper into market potential, boosting development confidence, and enhancing our overall competitiveness. As a result, Jiangfeng will shine even more brilliantly in the global market competition!
