Ninghua Zhu (who was selected in the 100-People Program in 1997 and a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund inMale, doctor, researcher, doctoral tutor. Graduated from the University of Electronic Science and Technology in 1990 with a Ph.D. in engineering; postdoctoral at Sun Yat-Sen University in 1990, promoted to associate professor in 1992, promoted to professor in 1994; worked as a researcher at the City University of Hong Kong from 1994 to 1995; in Germany from 1996 to 1998 Guest scientist (Researcher Humboldt) of Siemens AG, Munich.

Mainly engaged in microwave photonics, microwave integrated circuits and high-speed photonic integrated devices and systems. After returning to China in 1998, he presided over 26 national research projects, including the "Hundred Talents Program" project, the National Outstanding Youth Fund, "863" major, "973" topics, major international cooperation of the Fund Committee, the focus of the Fund Committee, the National Fund Committee Innovative group projects, major projects of the National Fund Committee and 863 themed projects, etc. Published 155 SCI / EI papers, published two monographs, and applied for 46 invention patents. The research group also has 29 researchers including researchers, associate researchers, doctors, postdoctors, engineers, and doctoral students. The laboratory has advanced instruments and equipment for optoelectronic device testing and packaging.
