Automobile and Industrial Markets Promote Growth, and SMIC's Q2 Revenue Rose 8.8% Year-on-Year

    On August 8, SMIC International Integrated Circuit Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (New York Stock Exchange: SMI; Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 981) announced its comprehensive operating results for the three months ended June 30, 2017. The financial report shows that sales in the second quarter of 2017 were $ 751.2 million, an increse of 8.8% year-on-year and a decrease of 5.3% month-on-month. Gross profit was US $ 194.1 million, which was a decrease from  $ 227.8 million in the second quarter of 2016 compared with  $ 220.8 million in the first quarter of 2017.
